Beach Tips: How to Keep Your Head Cool and Your Food Fresh

If you’re like most people, the thought of spending a day at the beach conjures up images of fun in the sun, salty air and sand between your toes. But before you head out to the shore, there are a few things you need to take into consideration if you want to make the most of your time there. When you’re at the beach, the last thing you want to worry about is your energy or your food. Unfortunately, sand and hot weather can make it difficult to keep both your head and food fresh and cool. Below, we’ll give you some tips on how to stay cool and comfortable while enjoying all that the beach has to offer. We’ll also give you some tips for bringing refreshments along that will help you stay healthy and fueled while you’re enjoying the sun and surf!

First, it’s important to keep your food and drinks cold – especially if you’re planning on spending a long day in the sun. Bring two coolers: one for your food and one for your drinks. Fill them with ice packs before you leave and pack them with all of the essentials, like sandwiches, grilling items, snacks, fruit, soda, and lots and lots of water.

Second, make sure you follow the beach rules for cooking and cleaning up. Most beaches have designated areas for cooking and picnicking, so be sure to find out where these are before you set up shop. And when you’re done eating and drinking, don’t forget to clean up your mess! This will help keep the beach clean for everyone to enjoy.

Third, take advantage of the shade! Spend some time in the sun to work on your tan, but make sure you apply sunscreen and take breaks in the shade to cool off. Bring an umbrella or a beach tent to set up in the sand for added protection from the sun’s rays.

Don’t forget your utensils! It’s always a good idea to bring along your own reusable plates, cups and silverware. You may spend some extra time on dishes at home but this way, you don’t have to worry about using disposable items that will just end up on the ground or in the trash. Just put all your reusable dirty items into a plastic bag and throw them into the trunk – but don’t forget them there! You may want to pre-portion your snacks as well. This will help you avoid overeating, will still cut down on trash, and it will save you from having to pack and carry a lot of extra food.

Finally, have fun! The beach is a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. So kick back, soak up the sun and make some memories that will last a lifetime. Packing for a day at the beach doesn’t have to be stressful. Just follow these simple tips and you’ll be sure to have a great time! Thanks for reading and we hope these tips help you make the most of your time at the shore. Have fun and stay safe!
